Category Development Manager Small Earthmoving Machines

Do you want to explore and lead Kramp’s expansion into an assortment for small earthmoving machines across Europe? Then read on and join our company as a Category Development Manager.  

Small earthmoving machines are often used on farms as well and therefore it is a logical expansion for Kramp to add parts for these machines to our assortment. In several countries, Kramp has organically entered space. We are now looking to grow the team with a Category Development Manager who brings product and market knowledge about these machines to create product groups that maximize value both for customers and the organization. You will be part of the Category Management team and report directly to the Head of Category Tractor & Vehicle Parts. 

  

Your role 

You will: 

  • Develop the right assortment for Kramp to be successful with the right spare and wear parts for small earthmoving machines.  
  • You will develop a category plan to build the future portfolio for small earthmoving machines. 
  • Create a category plan in line with the organizations' purchasing/procurement and/or sales strategy ensuring realization of synergies, like cost savings and risk-reduction, and/or optimization of the category profit, while reporting to senior colleagues. 
  • Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations on commercial trends. Help managers make effective decisions based on data. 
  • Develop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs and react to these to support the communication of business information and decisions. 
  • Collaborate with the procurement, sales,  marketing, and legal teams to further grow the construction portfolio and roll-out towards the countries.  
  • Build new strategic partnerships to extend Kramp’s network in small earthmoving machinery.  
  • Develop prescribed solutions and generate new opportunities by maintaining relationships with partner organizations to ensure their smooth integration or a successful alliance execution. 
  • Contribute to the formation of a key element of earth moving equipment /construction strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs. 
     

In this role you will work closely with the local country teams. Therefore, you will need to travel frequently. Your base country could be anywhere in Europe.  

 Who are you? 

You have excellent product knowledge of small construction machinery, e.g., mini excavators, shovel < 10ton and telehandlers. Together with your excellent communication skills and drive you know how to develop and implement a category or product group strategy. You are proactive and enjoy going into the field and travelling across Europe. 

Furthermore, you have: 

  • completed a Bachelor degree; 
  • 6+ years of work experience in a Sales, Category Management or Procurement role in the construction equipment and/or industry; 
  • a strong network and interest in growing your network related to suppliers of parts for the mini excavator/shovel/telehandler; 
  • an analytical and strategical mindset; 
  • a good understanding of the current situation and new developments in the marketplace and within competitor companies. 
  • experience in cross-functional matrix organizations.
