The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, maintaining, and communicating the organization’s technology and business architecture vision. In this role, you’ll make a real difference by guiding complex IT environments and shaping high-impact initiatives that connect business and technology in a sustainable way. Acting as a bridge between strategic objectives and practical implementation, the Enterprise Architect ensures that IT strategies support the company’s long-term goals, fostering innovation, efficiency, and consistency across the enterprise.

Kramp Group’s business is supported by a multitude product teams and applications that support our end-to-end operations, from order intake, to order planning, to warehousing and distribution. These teams operate with a high degree of autonomy to continuously improve their specific products and services, while collectively ensuring the seamless execution of our cross-functional business processes that drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In the coming years, Kramp is running large-scale transformation program that will replace the legacy ERP landscape and order management with a modern, integrated, and modular ecosystem. This transformation will reimplement many of our business-critical supply chain processes. To achieve this, a unified and future-proof architectural vision is required to ensure interoperability, scalability, and business agility.

The Supply Chain Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in defining and guiding the target architecture for this domain. This by ensuring that supply chain solutions align with Kramp’s enterprise-wide architecture strategy. The architect will work closely with solution architects, product teams, business owners, and technology leaders to design sustainable, efficient, and flexible solutions that support Kramp’s operational excellence and digital growth ambitions.

The Supply Chain Enterprise Architect will report to Manager Architecture and collaborate closely with there rest of the architecture team composed of enterprise, solution and technology architects.

The role

  • Architectural Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve the architectural vision for Kramp’s supply chain domain in alignment with enterprise-wide goals and technology strategy.

  • Domain Governance & Standards: Establish architecture principles, design patterns, and technology standards for the supply chain landscape. Promote consistency and coherence across systems, integrations, and data models while balancing innovation with operational stability.

  • Solution Design Guidance: Provide leadership and direction to solution architects and product teams within the supply chain domain. Translate enterprise architecture principles and vision into actionable solution designs, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

  • End-to-End Process Enablement: Collaborate with business process owners to model, optimize, and digitize key supply chain processes. Identify opportunities for automation, data integration, and cross-domain alignment to enable seamless end-to-end operations.

  • Technology Roadmapping: Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for the supply chain domain, highlighting dependencies, modernization opportunities, and innovation initiatives that support Kramp’s transformation program.

  • Vendor Collaboration & Technology Evaluation: Engage with software vendors and technology partners to assess product capabilities, solution fit, and alignment with Kramp’s architecture strategy. Support RFP processes, technology comparisons, and tool selection, ensuring that selected solutions complement and enhance the supply chain ecosystem.

  • Architecture Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain and contribute to a centralized architecture repository capturing models, designs, and architectural decisions (ADRs). Ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and up to date, supporting transparency, reusability, and informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Quality, Security & Compliance Alignment: Ensure architectural designs incorporate quality, performance, security, and compliance requirements. Partner with QA, Security, and Data teams to embed these practices into the supply chain technology ecosystem.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, product owners, and IT teams. Facilitate decision-making and communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment and clarity of direction.

  • Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing: Guide and coach solution architects and technical leads, fostering architectural maturity and a culture of shared ownership across the product teams.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess emerging technologies and market trends in supply chain systems and architecture. Propose improvements to technologies that will enhance efficiency and innovation.
     

Who are you?

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture roles, focused on supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, order management, WMS, TMS).

  • Proven track record in designing solutions across large, complex, and distributed IT landscapes.

  • Strong experience with end-to-end supply chain processes and their supporting systems, from order intake, to order management, logistics and distribution.

  • Experience with modern integration and data platforms, including APIs, event-driven architectures, and master data management solutions.

  • Understanding of cloud-based architectures, microservices, and modular design principles, as well as the ability to balance innovation with operational stability.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and related frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into technology solutions and align diverse teams around a shared architectural vision.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal effectively with complex business and technology environments and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.

  • Experience working in product-centric or agile organizations, ideally within retail, wholesale, or distribution environments.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
