Jr Warehouse Automation Engineer

The Jr Warehouse Engineering Manager oversees the design and analysis of operational strategies for various projects within the Kramp group's warehouses with a clear focus on Material Handling Equipment solutions. 


This is a new role and you will work closely with our experienced Warehouse Engineering Manager who is based in the Netherlands. You will join the Supply Chain Engineering Team and collaborate with different stakeholders from different countries. 


The role  

As a Jr Warehouse Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for process and methods analysis, cost management, capacity improvement, and optimizing routing and shipments. You will also be responsible for implementing these solutions effectively. 

  • Use your own vision to design engineering solutions.

  • Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.

  • Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and specify the remedial works needed.

  • Working closely with our supplier, including specifying requirements, challenging their solutions, monitoring the implementation and aftercare including the contact with all the different stakeholders that are involved, such as the manager indirect procurement, legal and local operations teams. 

  • Continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems. 

  • Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems. 

  • Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan. 

Who are you?

We are looking for a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience.

Additionally, you possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in (Mechanical) Engineering. 

  • Experience with AutoCAD to successful design systems. 

  • The ambition to increase your project management responsibility.

  • You are an analytical person, conceptually strong and organizational savvy. 

  • Willingness to travel to our warehouses in Europe (10% of your time).
